We seek to encourage a love of the game of netball from a young age and maintain that passion to our senior social competition. We strive for development and growth, helping to provide the best opportunity for each player and team, to maximise their playing potential and balance, this with our core values of sportsmanship, respect, commitment, and club spirit.

Our History

The Augural meeting of Tibro’s Netball Club was held on November 10th 1988 with Rita Savage elected as the first club president. The name of the club was chosen to honor Mount Tibrogargan, which overlooks the netball courts. The club started with 3 senior teams playing at Caboolture.

In 1993 Tibro’s Netball Club became incorporated and on February 12th 1994 the club held its first junior sign on day with seventy six juniors signing up.

The first training was held on the soccer fields in front of the Sports Club with the courts being line marked every Wednesday for Thursday training. In 1996, after much fundraising and community support, the club was moved to its current location and 2 asphalt courts were constructed.

In 2000 Tibro’s began running a ladies competition and in 2005 began running a mixed netball competition. A third court was constructed in 2009 and a club house was constructed in 2013.

In 2021, Tibro’s Netball Club had 98 junior members and fielded eleven teams in the Caloundra District Netball Association’s junior competition. The Tibro’s ladies competition was still very popular and had 7 teams. With ongoing community support and the dedication of a hard working committee, Tibro’s Netball Club can look forward to a successful and competitive future in 2022 and beyond.

Club Committee

The club is managed by a group of parents and players who take responsibility for the running of the club. Our club holds its Annual General Meeting in September, usually after the completion of the junior season.

Our Executive Committee over see the Management Committee and the running of our club. Executive positions rotate every second year. President & Secretary are elected in even years, with Vice President, Treasure and Ladies Covenor in odd years.

Management Committee positions become vacant annually at the AGM.
